Kahan, Michael (bands: Klezmer Gourmets, KlezmerUK, Manchester, Manchester, United Kingdom). Professional violinist, with a specialism in Klezmer, performing, giving theoretical classes on Klezmer styles/techniques and running practical workshops for instrumentalists. Based in Manchester, United Kingdom. With two distinct Klezmer slants; traditional & contemporary (and not much in-between, except for what we have to play for wedding gigs), I'm keen to get more musicians interested in the music and to play it too. I run a Klezmer violin and clarinet duo 'Klezmer Gourmets' and a larger band, 'klezmeruk'. Web:
