Dear Friends,

The Folksbiene Yiddish Theatre will present the beloved Theater, Concert, Film and TV star Mandy Patinkin and his celebrated "Mamaloshen" concert in a benefit to save the Yiddish theater in America at Carnegie Hall on June 16, 2005.

The purpose of this concert is to raise funds for the Folksbiene Yiddish Theater to be able to continue presenting its gems of Yiddish drama, music and literature for audiences of all ages, and in communities throughout America.

The great film and theater stars Anne Jackson and Eli Wallach will be honored, and the chair of the evening will be the author of Fiddler On The Roof Joseph Stein, and his wife Elisa Stein. Co-chairs will be Mark and Anita Sarna, and Mark and Audrey Mlotek.

The Folksbiene needs your support. By purchasing your tickets now, you will ensure the best seat locations for the concert, and help the Folksbiene avert the high costs of advertising later - money which will be better utilized for producing Yiddish theatre. By sharing this e-mail with all of your like-minded friends and contacts, you will be joining the ever expanding community of Yiddish supporters who have embraced this cause as their own.
