Kultur Festival 2009 is the first festival of its kind in South Florida. This five-day celebration of Jewish culture includes concerts, presentations and lectures that feature a diverse selection of music, song, dance, film and book arts. Klezmer Company Orchestra (KCO), led by conductor and festival director Aaron Kula, presents the festival's grand finale concert Tantz, Samba & Soul together with the renowned Ebony Chorale of the Palm Beaches. Other guest artists and speakers include distinguished New York City Cantor Jacob Mendelson, filmmaker David Weintraub and authors Rabbi Irwin Kula and Heidi Smith Hyde.

Kultur Festival takes place on FAU's Boca Raton campus at four different venues:
the Wimberly Library (fifth floor), the Barry and Florence Friedberg Lifelong Learning Center, the Live Oak Pavilion in the Student Union and the Carole and Barry Kaye Performing Arts Auditorium.

Kultur Festival 2009 has been made possible in part through a grant from American Express. Additional support provided by the Nathan and Marion Crosby Holocaust and Judaic Library Collections Endowment Fund, Jewish Cultural Society at FAU, South Florida Association of Jewish Libraries, FAU's Lifelong Learning Society and FAU's Student Union.
