Charming Hostess will be opening for poet/translator/scholar Ammiel Alcalay at an early show this Friday. We will be mostly singing from "Sarajevo Blues," which Ammiel translated. We have sung "Sarajevo Blues" with its author, Semezdin Mehmedinovic, but never with its translator, so we are happy about this. He will read new work after we sing.
