Klezmer Konquest is a free Hanukkah concert featuring three local klezmer ensembles:
Ezekiel’s Wheels Klezmer Band
This year’s winner of the Audience Prize for Best Performance at the International Jewish Music Festival in
Amsterdam. They are alums of Yarmulkazi, The Eastman School of Music, and the Black Sea Quartet.
Klezjam, a dance band that plays weddings and Bar/Bat Mitzvahs and has been together for 3 years. In addition to Klezmer and Hassidic tunes, they play jazz standards and Latin music.
Shpilkes Klezmer Band brings a wide range of traditional and Sephardic music to life through classic
and contemporary interpretations as well as creative improvisation. They play everything with “shpilkes”, an
energy that makes it hard to sit still!
