"OVERGANG"
Er is werk te zien van bekende kunstenaars als Marianne Duif uit Schoorl, Peter Peterse uit Zuid-Scharwoude, Ger Viegers uit Schoorl, Frederik van Willigen uit Heiloo, Anneke van den Berg uit Heiloo, Ian uit Alkmaar, Ans Post uit Bergen en Aad Boogaard uit Amsterdam. Ook in Egmond wonende kunstenaars als Charlotte Köhler, Armando Jongejan, Frank Kraaijeveld, Hilde Belleman, Nathalie Wijker, Afra Engelinia, Briel, Fred Valkering, Niek Groot, Nel Brand, Ans Belleman, en Mevr. Nak hebben werk gemaakt voor deze bijzondere expositie. Van de vorig jaar overleden bekende Egmonder Ton Valkering wordt voor de eerste keer zijn karakteristieke surrealistische tekeningen aan het publiek getoond. Naast hedendaagse kunst is er in samenwerking met de stichting Historisch Egmond en dr. Peter van den Berg een educatieve tentoonstelling en een film te zien over de “Art Summer School” van George Hitchcock, waar de "Egmondse School” uit voortgekomen is. Deze boeiende tentoonstelling is de komende 2 maanden vrij te bezoeken.

Alicia Jo Rabins’ “Kaddish for Bernie Madoff”
An experimental song-cycle about the spiritual implications of the financial collapse

A biblical scholar, poet, singer, songwriter and violinist, Alicia Jo Rabins has created a chamber-rock operatic song cycle exploring the intersection of spirituality, finance and responsibility. “Kaddish for Bernie Madoff” tackles personal and societal issues with thoughtfulness, wit, sensitivity and beautifully sung melodies.

This solo performance is the California premiere, and features full-length projected animation. It’s directed by Maureen Towey, who helped to develop the earliest incarnation of the show, for which Rabins received a prestigious Six Points Fellowship.
