Spies of the Balkans, Hamden, CT, 9 Dec 2015

2nd Annual Hanukkah Extravaganza at the Outer Space featuring the Spies of the Balkans and friends
Just in time for Hanukkah!

Wednesday, December 9, 2015, 7pm (Dreydl spin-off is at 7:30)
Outer Space
295 Treadwell Street
Hamden, Connecticut

The Spies of the Balkans will be hosting our second annual Hanukkah Extravaganza featuring Klezmer, Hanukkah songs, special guests, a dreydl spinoff as well as latkes from the Kitchen and Kosher craft beer at Hamden's own Outer Space.

The Outer Space has a great menu and it’s always fun to have a dinner concert. And Steve Rodgers has told me that the latkes (which sold out early last year) will be back.

In the spirit of the season there’s no admission charge for this event (though the band may pass the hat).

The Spies of the Balkans is a musical configuration shrouded in enigma and mystery. Reputedly the group plays music from Eastern Europe with a mix of Klezmer, jazz and good grooves. Led by a mysterious shadow figure the group interprets documents known as "scores" and turns them into sound. Curious? Frightened? So is the NSA. Come hear the band that no one will admit on record to knowing anything about.
