"Under the Wings of Rafa'el" book/cd launch, San Francisco, CA, 18 Sep 2016

I am overjoyed to share with you that the healing project I've been working on for the past few years—Under the Wings of Rafa'el: Blessings, Songs, and Explorations for a Healing Journey—is now complete! This project that began as a set of impromptu materials for a congregant undergoing chemotherapy, has developed into a small book with accompanying recordings (or recordings accompanied by a small book …). It includes 12 prayers focused on the healing of body and spirit, with explorations around the text of each prayer in the form of contemplations, meditations, visualizations, and artistic exercises, and is designed to be used in a variety of ways by people at different stages of emotional and physical healing, and with groups as well as individuals.

If you are able, I would dearly love you to join me at the launch event:

Sunday, September 18, 2016, 4-6pm
Congregation Sha'ar Zahav,
290 Dolores,
San Francisco, CA

We'll sing together, do some of the readings/artistic exercises from the book together, and have a good nosh.

This project has been made possible due to the extreme generosity and support of the Lloyd Symington Foundation, and also to all of you who taught, mentored, supported, nurtured, nourished, and helped in a myriad of ways. Thank you, thank you, thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

More info about the project can be found on my website: sharonbernstein.com/under-the-wings-of-rafael.html
