Spanish and Ladino poetry combine with North African rhythms and jazz to create the distinct sound of Asefa. Led by ethnomusicologist Dr. Samuel Thomas, Asefa features some of NYC’s finest Jewish, jazz and world musicians. We’ll discuss Asefa’s Ladino roots over a Sephardic-inspired meal created Somerville’s award-winning Cuisine en Locale. With an after-dinner concert, of course.
