Mitziut Performance Day, Chicago, 30 May 2010

The Mitziut Jewish community is pleased to announce performance days on May 30 at 1:15 PM and on June 6 at 2 PM- in conjunction with the Mitziut Community Art Exhibition (in loving memory of Laurie Sucher).Events will take place at North Lakeside Cultural Center, Chicago, Il, 60619. Admission is free but donations to Mitziut/ art show will be accepted.

Adam Shames' Creativity jam- a mix of original and popular songs-part sing-along and part improvisational experience, welcome to all.

Devorahssong- a solo performance- piano and maybe some flute and recorder as well.

Sid Yiddish and his Minions- "Sid Yiddish & His Minions doesn't always understand what they emit. But he knows you will."

Soulfarm was founded in Israel by Grammy Award winner lead guitarist C Lanzbom and guitarist and lead singer Noah Solomon Chase.

Their uncomparable sound has been dubbed as New American music, full melodic song writing and progressive modern arrangements. Their live shows are full of Mediterranean flavor with captivating guitar leads, Carlebach melodies, dance rhythms and strong percussion breaks.

Soulfarm has a wide range of influences from rock and Latin, to Hebrew and Celtic folk music. Soulfarm has recorded with many well-known musicians such as Perry Farrel and Dispatch; and has opened for Bruce Hornsby, Shawn Colvin and The Wailers George Clinton.

They regularly sell out national venues, such as Whiskey-A-Go-Go, L.A., BB Kings Blues Club, NYC, Hammerstein Ballroom, NYC, The Knitting Factory, L.A., NYC, Fox Theater, Boulder, CO, and Firehouse – St. Louis, MO. Through extensive tours of the U.S. and Europe, the group has gained great popularity.

Twelfth Night Klezmer, Eldridge Street, NYC, 10 February 2013


On Sunday, February 10th, at 3 pm the passionate young musicians of Twelfth Night Klezmer will present a program of classic klezmer "jewels" at the landmark Eldridge Street Synagogue. Led by violinist Elad Kabilio, the quintet hails from Israel, where traditional Jewish music has been long ignored. This concert kicks off the Museum at Eldridge Street's spring Lost and Found Music Series.
