Mission: To make people dance in the isles and celebrate life! Through our concerts to support unity, tolerance, understanding and peace in as many places around the world as possible. To educate and inspire people of all religions about the beauty of Jewish culture and infuse Jewish music with energy through modern interpretation.

Press Release: Los Angeles, CA - The internationally acclaimed Moscow Jewish Choir will be conducting a 20 city tour of the United States and Canada this Fall culminating with a grand-finale in New York's famous Carnegie Hall on November 14, 2001.

Winners of the World Cantors Gold Crown Award, The Moscow Jewish Choir has just returned from a resoundingly successful tour of Europe, where they performed a repertoire filled with pathos and thrills in eight languages from nostalgic Jewish classics to soul stirring liturgical music in Hebrew, English, Spanish, French, Russian, as well as world renowned Pop, French Chanson and even American Broadway Hits.

Formed in 1989, this remarkable union of eleven world-class singers has overcome Communist oppression, lack of funding, and anti-Semitism to bring back to Russia Jewish music which has been extinct for the past 70 years.

In the words of Artistic Director, Michael Touretsky: "Now more than ever, we must raise people's consciousness about Judaism. Jews in Russia and around the world need to live in peace and to be free from anti-Semitism. That is our only goal!"

Cities included in this tour are: New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, Philadelphia, Miami, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Cleveland, Minneapolis, Hartford, Baltimore, Houston, Columbus, Toronto, Atlanta and Montreal.
