The Amsterdam Jiddish choir Mokef Alef is organizing an exclusive
WORKSHOP given by Jeff Warschauer and Deborah Strauss on Saturday
afternoon the 14th of June 2008 in the Oosterkerk in Amsterdam at
14.30 hours.
Both as performers and coaches the Strauss-Warschauer Duo are one of
the most popular teams in the internatiomal Jiddish Klezmer scene.
Deborah Strauss and Jeff Warschauer have performed on the most famous
music platform in the world and give workshops throughout North
America and Europe. Their performance distinguishes itself by a varied
use of song and instruments.
Their work is a panorama and intimate mixture of many kinds of music
both traditional and contemporary.
They derive their inspiration from Klezmer, Jiddishe, Chassidic and
liturgical music, to which they add their own compositions.
