Yeshivas Goldenshteyn, Seattle Folklife Fest, 25 May 2009

Disciples in
the Laurentides listened
as the master
played Bessarabian tunes
from a time
when weddings were all week
and musikanten shpieled all night

Some returned
to the upper left coast
sharing tunes with all
who would listen
keeping the memory
of German Goldenshteyn
and the music he brought us

This Memorial Day, May 25th, at 12:15 PM, in Seattle Center's Charlotte Martin Theatre, come hear Yeshivas Goldenshteyn, a fifteen piece band conducted by world renowned bass trombonist Ethan Chessin, with clarinetist Milton From, accordionist Martin Morgenbesser and a stage full of brass, woodwind, string and who-knows-what-other, who may show up, as we celebrate the music of German Goldenshteyn, z"l.
