The Klezical Tradition in Kent, CT, Jun 28

June 28 at 7:00 We open the Kent Connecticut Music Festival. For these three concerts we'll have a slightly different sound as Adrianne Greenbaum will be featured on the wood flute playing some of her "new" tunes from FleytMuzik, accompanied by Brian Bender on piano and Roy Weisman on bass. Of course Brian will also play trombone throughout the evening! Of course TKT's core musicians Fraidy Katz and Walter Mamlok will be there to give that TKT tam! (For those asking "Where is Cookie?" she's out and about fiddling across the countryside and will return to us in August.) The exact location of the concert is unknown at present typing so please email me closer to the concert day if you plan to attend. Kent is located in beautiful Litchfield County. Directions:

Kent is approximately 45 minutes north of Danbury on Route 7. Take Route 7 north of Danbury, through New Milford to the Bulls Bridge Inn, the first of only two traffic lights in Kent. Four miles north of the Inn there is a large field on the right, across from the Kent Greenhouse. Parking is in an adjacent field, also on the right. These are called the Kent Land Trust fields.

If you reach the second light in town, you've driven too far. If it is raining, make a left at this second traffic light at the intersection of Route 7 and Route 341, drive a quarter mile and take another left onto the grounds of the private Kent School, not the public Kent Center School. The address for The Kent School is Kent School Route 341, Kent, CT 06757 and therefore should get you close to the regular "sunshine" site as well!

It is forty-five minutes by car from Danbury. The fields open to the public by 6:00PM. The music starts at 7:00PM.
