KLEZMER ON FISH STREET (2003) AND THE KLEZMANIACS:
Presented by Acton-Concord Area Hadassah and Kerem Shalom of Concord, MA

The Acton-Concord Area Hadassah Chapter and Kerem Shalom of Concord, MA will
be presenting the Boston premiere of the film, Klezmer on Fish Street, along
with live Klezmer music from the featured Klezmaniacs. The film and concert
will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2003, from 3:00-5:30pm, at Kerem Shalom.

The recently released Klezmer on Fish Street views Poland through the eyes of
a group of young, Jewish American Klezmer musicians, The Klezmaniacs. They
encounter a Poland that includes both new Polish Jews and non-Jewish Poles,
along with the growth of Jewish culture produced by non-Jews. This poignant
documentary asks the questions: What is driving the revitalization of Jewish
life in Poland today? Is this reality, or a virtual Jewish reality? Klezmer
on Fish Street is the winner of the Special Jury Selection 2003 Palm Beach
International Film Fest.

After the film, the The Klezmaniacs will discuss the film and perform a live
Klezmer concert. Refreshments will follow. Admission is $10.00 for all
Hadassah and Kerem Shalom members; $15.00 for non-members. Send checks
payable to Acton-Concord Area Hadassah, along with a self-addressed stamped
envelope, to Kerem Shalom, P. O. Box 1646, Concord, MA 01742. Limited tickets
will be available the day of the program.
