Join with fellow progressive Jews and representatives from civil rights, workers rights and grass roots activist organizations to energize, strategize and mobilize for political change! Workshops, discussion, comraderie and fun!

Tentative workshop discussions include:

  • The Jewish Imperative for Social Justice
  • Economic Justice: The Two Americas
  • Civil Rights/Immigrant Rights Post 9/11
  • The Influence of Religion on US Domestic Policy: Women's Rights, LGBT Rights, & Judicial Appointments
  • The Impact of Globalization on Workers Rights, The Environment and Human Rights
  • 
  • Effective Grass Roots Activism
  • Voter Rights, Voter Registration and Voter Mobilization Campaigns
  • 
  • A Jewish Progressive Response to the War on Terrorism
  • Israel-Palestinian Conflict: Making the Voice for Peace Heard in the American Jewish Community

The weekend will also offer a great opportunity to explore the rich, multi-layered texture of Yiddish language and culture—and its connection to the struggle for social justice.

  • Yiddish Classes for all levels
  • Yiddish films on the Jewish-American experience
  • Klezmer workshops (bring your musical instruments!)

Full recreational Activities: Swimming (lake and pool), boating, tennis, nature walks, folk dancing, campfires, ping-pong vegetable & fruit picking in nearby farms and MORE
