With Graham Connah’s Sour Note 7
I’m excited to share the stage with Graham and his bandmates (among them Ben Goldberg on clarinet: you might know of him from the Klezmorim and the New Klezmer Trio; and Ches Smith on drums who you may know from countless bands). I’m also excited because of the etymological connections between the names of our 2 ensembles, the "sour note," and "Zoyres" (coming from the Yiddish word "zoyers" referring to soured [i.e. fermented] foods such as sauerkraut, pickles, etc.). I’ll probably bring a jar of homemade sauerkraut (teamin' with probiotic Lactobacilli!) to celebrate the occasion, so bring a fork!
