Yale Strom, Warsaw, Poland, May 23

Yale Strom will be in Warsaw to present his film "L'CHAYIM COMRADE STALIN!" which examines the formation, history and current status of the "Jewish Autonomous Region" - better known as Birobidzhan. The JAR was the first and only secular Yiddish state created 20 years before the State of Israel specifically for Soviet Jews and Jews in the rest of Eastern Europe. Yale will be present after the screening for Q&A and to perform a few klezmer tunes (violin) after the screening. The film is in competition and part of the WARSZAWSKI MIEDZYNARODOWY FESTIWAL FILMOWY (Warsaw Jewish Film Festival). The film will be screened at the Kino Muranow on Ulica Gen. W.
