The Psalms of Ali Ukfi is a concert of psalms sacred music inspired by the music and life of Ali Ufki, who lived in the cosmopolitan environment of 17th century Istanbul. The concert is the result of an ongoing collaboration among a group of Boston musicians representing the religious traditions of four communities - Turkish Muslim, Jewish, Greek Orthodox Christian and Protestant - each of which played a role in the life of Ali Ufki in the 17th century. The concert is co-produced by RUAH Spirituality Institute and the DUNYA Organization and co-sponsored by Temple Beth Zion.

In the Spring of 2006 DÜNYA will launch “The Psalms of Ali Ufki Sacred Music Project”, a series of interactive concert-seminars established for the purpose of fostering awareness, educating, deepening the interfaith dialogue and celebrating the similarities between the Jewish, Christian and Muslim faiths.
