Dust off those dancin' shoes, the Yale Klezmer band is back for more freylach-making, this time with the Yale Women's Slavic Chorus. Each group will play a set, and there will be some collaborating between the groups. The Slavic chorus sings music of Bulgaria, Macedonia, the Balkans, etc. This music is characterized by odd time signatures (crooked dances), complex ornamentation, and close harmonies. It's beautiful to hear. The klezmer band will be venturing out of our standard repetoire to present some old forgotten klezmer gems, as well as some Balkan instrumentals.

We will be playing DANCE MUSIC!
See you on the tantz floor!
