KlezKanada 2008KLEZKANADA: CELEBRATING QUEBEC AT 400!!!
Planning your trip to KlezKanada in August? Plan a to arrive a few days early and visit KlezKanada in Quebec City!

In celebration of Quebec City's 400th anniversary, KlezKanada is teaming up with Institut du Nouveau Monde and Shalom Quebec to produce a mulitcultural music festival at L'Espace 400 in Quebec City. There will be music from Quebec, Eastern Europe, Cuba, Mexico and more! L'Espace 400 is beautiful, with interactive installations, music all day and street performers roaming the quays - a perfect location for a mulit-cultural celebration!

KlezKanada's presence in Quebec City goes hand-in-hand with the vision of Shalom Quebec. Through exhibits, concerts and cultural activities, Shalom Quebec provides visitors to the festival "an opportunity to recall the history of the Jewish community, to tell about its presence, and describe the original contributions it has made to the city." Shalom Quebec's main exhibit will be on display througout the summer of 2008 in the concourse of the train station at the Gare du Palais.

KlezKanada's presence in Quebec City is co-sponsored by Institute du Nouveau Monde, Shalom Quebec, Federation CJA of Montreal and the Foundation for Jewish Culture.
