Yiddishkeit: A tribute to Yiddish Singer and Songwriter, Majer Bogdanski

Sunday 17 August
3.30pm – 5.30pm followed by tea and a Yiddish Film

The third annual celebration of the life of Majer Bogdanski presented by JMI together with The Spiro Ark, Friends of Yiddish and others, to celebrate the life of the much loved composer and guardian of Yiddish Music by continuing to create and enjoy new creativity in Yiddish. The event includes a presentation of a special prize by famous Yiddish actress, Anna Tzelniker for the best musical rendering of her fathers famous poem about London's East End: 'Hessel Street' and words from Barry Davis.
