Dmitri Slepovitch on Yiddish Folksingers, Bronx, NY, 12 Oct 2008

On Sunday, Oct. 12, 1:30 PM at the Sholem Aleichem Cultural Center, 3301 Bainbridge Avenue, Bronx NY one block from Montefiore Hospital Calling all Litvaks! Dr. Zisl-yeysef (Dmitri) Slepovitch, ethnomusicologist, folklorist and klezmer formerly of Minsk, Belarus, will lecture in Yiddish on the topic: "Yiddish Music in Belarus" which is based on the extensive fieldwork that he conducted with Prof. Nechama (Nina) Stepanskaya z"l.
