Just a quick note to introduce you to a new band that's making its debut this coming Thursday, March 26 at Supermarket. Dedicated to playing the powerful, celebratory music of the Roma, Turks, Arabs and fellow travelers, this over-the-top party machine will grace Supermarket's stage as featured performers at Funkabelly, Roula Said's monthly dance party. This event has been packing in the alternative dance crowd for the past year with a mostly Bellydance focus, but now widens its embrace to welcome all lovers of the earthy, soulful sounds.

Come join us, sample some of Supermarket's superlative fare, and shake off the winter doldrums as we dance in Spring with an ensemble that reflects one aspect of the rivers flowing into the coming Toronto Sound (Turk, Rom, Cuban, Jew, Palestinian, Serbian).
