KlezKamp, Kerhonkson, NY, 24 Dec 2009

KlezKamp 2009Living Traditions is proud to announce it's 25th annual KlezKamp: A Fertl Yur
Hundert KlezKamp/A Quarter Century of KlezKamp to be held December 23-
29th at the Hudson Valley Resort and Spa in Kerhonkson, New York.
In honor of this historic anniversary, this year's KlezKamp will offer a special
6 night/5 day program which will run over shabbos, which, in addition to the
world class staff of over 50 world class instructors in Yiddish language,
culture, music and art, will feature the incomparable traditional khazn Barry
Black, who, in addition to offering a survey class on the history of khazones,
will also lead the Orthodox shabbos congregation accompanied by the
KlezKamp Geklibene Shtimes ("Chosen Voices") under the direction of Josh
Dolgin.

This special 25th anniversary program will also celebrate the release of two
new CDs: "Elaine Hoffman Watts, Klezmer Drummer: A Living Tradition"
recorded at last year's KlezKamp and the 3 CD box set "Cantors, Klezmorim
and Crooners 1905-1953: Classic Yiddish 78s From the Mayrent Collection."

Our home is again the Hudson Valley Resort and Spa, a modern hotel mit alle
mayles (with all the trimmings) in the Catskill tradition whose world class
kitchen is, as always, under the shtreng Glatt kosher hashgokhe of Ha'rov
Gershon Kreuser.

We are also honored to have the outstanding traditional Hasidic baker, Chaim
Reissman, of KY Bakery in Monroe, New York provide us with a broad array of
classic old time Yiddish baked goods.

Since its founding in 1984, KlezKamp has become the single most important
Yiddish cultural event in the world and in the forefront of creating both the
great performers and teachers of Yiddish music and the knowledgeable
audiences and Jewish community members who attend their concerts and
workshops.

Please join us.
