Klezmer Conservatory Band, Calloway, Watts in Mother's Day Show, Arlington, MA, 9 May 2010
The Klezmer Conservatory Band (KCB), joined by CB Calloway, conductor of the Cab Calloway Orchestra, will perform on Mother's Day, May 9, at 3 p.m. at the Regent Theater in Arlington. This lively show will feature music that celebrates both klezmer and swing, highlighting the intersection of the two musical styles. True to his legacy, CB Calloway performs in full zoot suit with the style and flair of his legendary grandfather, Cab Calloway. Calloway and KCB vocalist Susan Hoffman Watts will trade scat and Yiddish licks, and everyone will jam together in this unique and exciting event.
