After two successful European tours, Trio Carpion is proud to announce (OK, so it came out last Spring,but who's counting?) the release of At the Black Sea on the Magda Label. The band includes Avishai Fisz: accordion and vocals, Gershon Waiserfirer: baritone and oud, and Daniel Hoffman: violin. The repertoire is based on Eastern European Jewish folksongs, Romanian love ballads, a little Greek, Turkish, and even Hebrew. Trio Carpion's performances are filled with theatricality, humor, passion, and great musicianship. The CD includes a Yiddish version of the Teapacks Eurovision hit, "Push the Button", with special guest Kobi Oz joining Avishai on vocals.
