Join Zalmen Mlotek, Artistic Director of the National Yiddish Theatre - Folksbiene and one of the world's leading authorities on Yiddish music, for a moving musical journey that follows the migration of Yiddish songs from Eastern Europe to the bustling streets of New York's Lower East Side and onto the Broadway stage and Hollywood screen. Mlotek vibrantly illuminates how Yiddish music helped shape and inspire American music from the likes of George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Cab Calloway, Neil Sedaka, and many more popular American musical icons.
