Di Tsvey - The Greenman-Rushefsky Violin/Tsimbl duo presents a concert of traditional and original klezmer music celebrating the historical role of the violin in East European Jewish culture. Violinist Steven Greenman and tsimblist Pete Rushefsky are internationally renowned performers of traditional klezmer music as well as leading contemporary composers of the genre.

Di Tsvey's performance will feature the baroque-inspired Jewish artistic pieces that were performed for important life-cycle events such as weddings; lively dance tunes; and meditative Hasidic spiritual melodies. The program will begin with a 30-minute lecture about the history of Klezmer music.
