This special evening highlights the talent and accomplishments of local performers, showcasing some of the best local contributions to Yiddish culture. Tickets: $15

The Klezmer Kids: Under the leadership of Danny Koulack, the Klezmer Kids is a talented group of young musicians performing traditional Klezmer music on violin, piano, bass, drums, flute and clarinet featuring arrangements by Sid Robinovitch, Glenn Buhr, Jeff Presslaff and Danny Koulack

Gray Academy of Jewish Education Students: Also returning to the Mameloshen Festival stage are Gray Academy Students performing classic Yiddish songs under the direction of Miriam Bronstein.

Richard Yaffe & Jane Enkin: Entertainer, cantor and choral conductor Richard Yaffe is joined by accomplished singer Jane Enkin for a special performance of Yiddish standards. Accompanying Richard Yaffe and Jane Enkin are: Ron Paley, Piano; Karl Kohut, Bass and Rob Siwik, Drums.

Following the success of the first Mameloshen Festival in 2008, The Rady Jewish Community Centre and The I.L. Peretz Folk School Endowment Trust are pleased to present this unique series which celebrates the richness of Yiddish and Jewish culture by featuring local and out-of-town performers. Mameloshen: Festival of Yiddish Entertainment and Culture will run weekly from May 4 to May 25 paying homage to the beauty and history of Yiddish with new and exciting performances while introducing audiences to the diversity of Jewish culture. All performances will take place at the Muriel Richardson Auditorium, Winnipeg Art Gallery.
